SABALA established Craft Development Centre in 1998 to: Revive the Traditional Craft, Promote self employment in order to Check the migration, Provide Marketing Facilities to ensure regular income and sustainability, Develop entrepreneurship quality among artisans, Protection of Child Rights, Capacity Building and Networking of Artisans. Their activities include: Formation of Self Help Groups of women and networking, Sustainable Livelihood for physically challenged, Skill Development and capacity building training for sustainable Livelihood, Promotion of traditional skills in order to create self-employment opportunities on Fair trade principles, Social security programmes to traditional Artisans, Promotion of Microenterprises, Forward and backward linkages through common facility service centre, Building awareness on womens rights, Girl child education, Blind belief of gender discrimination, Low wages, Mother and child health care and child labor etc. Supplementary Education to Girl child to continue her education, Addressing social issues like Devadasi system, child marriage, Sale of illicit liquor, Dowry system, etc , Fight against Domestic violence on women and safeguard health rights of women and Awareness programmes on HIV/AIDS.
